Take the Plunge!

Think about it this way.  You're exchanging NZD (paper currency) to fixed supply assets with a real world use case.  Fixed supply assets over time increase in value against an unlimited paper currency!  If you're doing this now you're still early!

Inflation is the loss of purchasing power in your dollar due to the unlimited supply which is why everything gets more expensive.  If you've been considering to invest - don't wait until the price jumps...

Advantages of Digital Assets:

  • Fast TPS, Low Cost, High Liquidity
  • You're Responsible - Not the Bank
  • Earn Yield
  • Adds Diversity to Traditional Share Portfolios

Broker: Caleb and Brown

My recommendation is to use Caleb and Brown who currently except NZD,AUD,USD,EUR,GBP.  I've had a meeting in Melbourne with the CCO - Jake Boyle and very happy to use their service.  As a brokerage they facilitate the purchasing/selling of digital assets and hold the assets on your behave in segregated wallets.  You can then move your assets to a cold storage wallet at a later date if you wish.  app.calebandbrown.com/signup?referrer=VKZPRY6

Exchange:

Easycrypto has now merged with Swyftx so now NZ investors have Swyftx as an option for a local exchange https://swyftx.com/ Once you create an account you can then send your NZD to their platform and make the exchange from NZD to digital assets yourself.  Using an exchange you have to do this manually, using a broker as above this work is done for you.

Most Important: If you use any exchange you must move your assets off the exchange to your own wallet, you never leave your assets on an exchange...

You will need:
  • To be at least 18 years old
  • A valid NZ drivers licence or passport.
  • A proof of address document (utlilty bill, bank statement).
  • A NZ bank account in your own Name
  • Phone or computer with up-to-date software and an internet connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Increase your financial literacy which in turn changes your mindset, then you'll be asking a different question, more like - 'How can I make this happen'

Most digital asset wallets, Exodus included default their currency to the USD.  For NZ users they make their first transaction and wonder why the value doesn't reflect what they sent.  Change your currency from USD to NZD in the settings of the wallet...
