BRICS

BRICS has become well known for its efforts at de-dollarization.  Countries have been under the control of the USD and SWIFT system and with this power comes weaponization which is what we see in the form of sanctions.

How do the BRICS nations move away from the USD being the cross-border settlement currency for bilateral trade?  In conjunction with the discontinued petro-dollar agreement between the US and Saudi - countries are now able to transact cross-border using their own nations currency.

The petro-dollar agreement (President Nixon 1970's) has been binding countries to transact Oil and Energy using only the USD but this agreeement has now expired.  Enabling countries to now utilize their own sovereign currency for trade eliminating the need for the USD.

With a open mind you can see if countries doing bilateral trade using their own nation's currency cross-border without the SWIFT system or settlement through the USD then they are using a different international standard....

The XRPL enables countries to transact through XRP in 3 seconds with finality.  Therefore the Russian Ruble can trade with the Chinese Yuan, local currency to local currency in 3 secs through the XRPL with finality. This is why XRP is called a bridge currency because its primary role facilitates cross-border payments.
