XRP

Ripple the private company uses it's ISO20022 compliant RippleNet software in conjunction with the XRPL for institutional use.  Focusing on cross-border payments integrating with traditional finance.

The structure is layered:  Ripple the private company - RippleNet the software compliant with ISO20022 financial messaging standard - XRP the digital asset running on the XRPL acting as the neutral bridge currency.

Everything is connected, you can't use one without the other: Ripple the company became a member of the ISO standards body in May 2020, this membership enables RippleNet to integrate with financial institutions. RippleNet is ISO compliant which uses the XRPL protocol to facilitate cross-border payments - using the digital asset XRP as the neutral bridge asset.

The Monumental Shift of Infrastructure - Ripple’s recent acquisitions and partnerships:

  • GTreasury, processing 12.5 Trillion in Corporate payment volume annually
  • Prime broker Hidden Road - rebranded to Ripple Prime, bridges decentralized finance with traditional finance, member of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), clearing an astronomical financial volume annually, processing securities transactions valued at 3.7 quadrillion
  • Partnered with Evernorth, holding over 1 Billion of investor proceeds and creating an XRP corporate treasury.  Including yield bearing and DEFI protocols, Nasdaq listing XRPN (pending) eventually making this institutional treasury publicly traded.  Evernorth also participating as an XRPL validator
  • CMEGroup now live 24/7 with digital asset futures and options, largest derivatives exchange operating Ripple Prime as a day-one clearing partner, daily settlement value unknown…

Summary, easy to see how this becomes confusing but through Ripple the Company and RippleNet's compliance with ISO utilizing the XRPL we bring it together to find the real world use case of XRP...
