Wallets

12 or 24 words:

All wallets produce a private key which is reflected with 12 or 24 words.  These words are what you write down in order and spelt correctly to back your wallet up.  These words are extremely important, they are the only way back to your account if your lose your phone or computer.  If you have an App wallet and lose your phone you download the same App then instead of creating a new wallet your restore from old and input your words.... This then generates the same private key which then reads the blockchain to retrieve your account details...

Software wallet:

To get started the Exodus app is easily downloaded from the app store and has proven longevity in this space for many years.  For people dipping their toe and wanting to get started this is a good place.  The Exodus wallet will protect your private key with 12 words.  Although please note you do need to go into your settings retrieve your 12 words and write them down!
